The study of these topics also aims to prepare students for success in future quantitative and math related courses. Topics include: numeracy with an emphasis on estimation, fluency with different ways to represent quantities and to evaluate expressions; rates, ratios, and proportions; percentages; basic algebra, solution of equations; applied geometry, data interpretation using graphs, tables and statistics.
