We will focus on a variety of philosophical and conceptual approaches, as well as practical methodologies and tools that will help students conduct qualitative scholarly research in their area of interest. The major methods of study will include text-based analyses, visual methods, ethnography/participant observation, historical analysis, interviews, and approaches to digital media.
