Abstract
The symposium was organized by Martyna Ewa Majewska (Terra Foundation for American Art Postdoctoral Research and Teaching Fellow), Wendy Bellion (University of Delaware), Judith Delfiner (Université Paris Nanterre) and Catherine Marcangeli (Université Paris Cité). Over the course of two days, seasoned academics and young scholars convened at the National Institute of Art History in Paris, France to present and discuss themes of monuments, memory, art aesthetics, ethics and history in the United States since 2000.
