Abstract
The capstone project “Supporting and Empowering Peer Educators Through an Online Resource Center” involves the creation of a Canvas site for the Wellness Resource Center’s (WRC) Peer Education Program. The purpose of this project was to create an online hub for all Peer Educator materials and resources, including training for the various peer-facilitated programs, professional and self-development resources, and a community space for peer educators to interact and connect with one another. This project aims to provide a relevant and engaging platform for peer educators to access materials needed for the program, promote connection amongst them, and empower peer educators to utilize resources to improve their health and well-being. In 14 weeks, the project was developed, and longevity plans were prepared to promote the integration of the Canvas page into the program in the upcoming academic year and encourage sustainability going forward.
