Abstract
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a violation of human rights. While we know that GBV impacts survivor health, research has not been synthesized to articulate its impact on survivor bodily connections and perceptions. This Qualitative Meta-Synthesis synthesized qualitative literature to understand survivors perspectives of the impact of GBV on survivor body image, bodily connection, and subsequent behaviors.
