Abstract
A group of 8 team members with 2 project leads developed a set of functional and reproducible search strategies focusing on the Hispanic/Latinx U.S. population for 13 databases. The project length was one year and was formed by the Chair of the Medical Library Association Latinx Caucus, Aidy Weeks (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) and was led by Stephanie Roth (Temple University, Philadelphia) and Rebecca Orozco (University of Nevada, Las Vegas). The team was guided by search and validation experts. This resource was put together by the Medical Library Association (MLA) Latinx Caucus [https://www.mlanet.org/page/caucus-latino] on July 20, 2021 and will continue to be maintained by the MLA Latinx Caucus. Correspondence about this project should be sent to mlalatinx@gmail.com.

Correspondence about this project should be sent to mlalatinx@gmail.com. Objectives: 1. Create a set of functional search hedges based on the availability of Hispanic/Latinx terms in each respective database. 2. Once functional search hedges are created by the group, the next step will be to identify and run one database through testing and validation with input from expert searchers 1. A working group has formed to validate the PubMed (NLM) search hedge. Project Team (2021): Co-Leads (2) * Stephanie Roth, Ginsburg Health Sciences Library, Temple University, Philadelphia, Project Co-Lead * Rebecca Orozco, Lied Library, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Project Co-Lead Team Members (6) * Laurel Scheinfeld, Stony Brook University, Health Sciences Library, Stony Brook, Team Member * Rosie Hanneke, Library of the Health Sciences, University of Illinois Chicago, Team Member * Mayra Corn, Health Sciences Library, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Team Member * Cynthia Lokker, McMaster University, Ontario, Search Validation Expert * Tamara Navarro, McMaster University, Ontario, Search Validation Expert * Mirian Ramirez, Ruth Lilly Medical Library, Indiana University School of Medicine, Team Member All search strategies were peer-reviewed using the PRESS checklist [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27005575/].
