Abstract
This research examines the economics of internet sports book industry. Evidence of point shaving in the NFL gambling market is detailed. I also examine the Efficient Markets Hypothesis in the gambling market. In addition, I explore price competition by internet sports books whose objectives are driven by inefficient markets. I use cluster analysis to document internet sports book price competition and introduce a market structure with internet sports books that have multiple objectives. I use a correlation test to support this assertion.
