Abstract
Description
PPL Policy Briefs provide concise summaries of policy-relevant academic research for policy makers and the public. This brief begins by outlining the short-term impacts of COVID-19 on outdoor public spaces, highlighting small and temporary impacts, then describes anticipated long-term impacts and their potential to transform the nature of public space. The authors conclude with recommendations for policy interventions that could address persistent inequities in public spaces.
