Name of file that was updated: i. Why was the file updated? ii. When was the file updated? -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: To test the proposed hypotheses and to answer the stated research questions: (i) we used surveys (N=655) to gather quantitative data to shed light on the gravity, range of the issue, and test the impact of the new variables in the model, and (ii) we also conducted interviews (N=43) to gather the qualitative narratives to help us better understand the depth and reasoning behind the quantitative patterns and also help fill in the gaps stemming from our quantitative insights. The survey and interview participants are two separate samples and there was no overlap where an individual participated in both. Qualtrics was recruited to gather a sample of 655 U.S. adults for a survey. 2. Methods for processing the data: The dataset was downloaded from my Qualtrics account 3. Software- or Instrument-specific information needed to interpret the data, including software and hardware version numbers: R was used to analyze the data, but it can also be analyzed using SPSS. 4.
