Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: To get a better understanding of the type of North American university press content currently available in institutional repositories, the authors conducted an environmental scan of 50 different institutions with institutional repositories and university presses in the United States and Canada. The data collected only includes institutional repositories that contain university press content, which encompasses a total of 39 institutions. The authors performed a search for press content in each respective public-facing repository and specific content types were recorded based on the item records and any collection descriptions the authors found. 2.
